Two Warrigal Greens and two Beaded Samphire seedlings transferred to vertical garden.

December, 2018

Warrigal Greens and Beaded Samphire tasted. Warrigal Greens very palatable stir-fried or steamed with lemon juice. Beaded Samphire marginal.

October, 2017

Warrigal Greens sprouted. All halophytes moved to conventional container garden.

28th of February, 2017

Beaded Samphire seedling pots transferred to salt-water glasshouse, standing in 10mm of brine.

19th of February, 2017

Three Beaded Samphire seedlings observed. No other species have germinated. Further plantings required.

1st of December, 2016

Germination apparently unsuccessful. Poor seed quality suspected. More seeds sourced.

1st of November, 2016

Seeds sourced from eBay and planted in 100mm pots containing 1:1 mix of sand and compost.
