SITUATION Proposal Name: Computer for Soilmagic Initiated By: Rory Submission date: 2016DEC07 Background: The Soilmagic work I've been doing requires a specialised computer and software setup. Summary of proposed changes: purchase of a computer, already setup for Soilmagic work. How will this proposal advance the objectives of the Association? It will assist Soilmagic to provide services, and provide both experience and infrastructure for future projects. What direct or indirect conflicts of interest does the initiating member or any other member have in this proposal? I own and have set up a suitable computer, and thus will not be voting on this Will or might this proposal lead to the Association trading while insolvent? No What are the proposal's effects on other legal, reputational or financial risks? The computer will need to be highly secure, and compartmentise client's confidential files as well as our own. I have done this to the best of my abilities. TIMINGS What date would the proposed project begin? 09DEC2016 What date would it be in useful operation? 09DEC2016 What date would it be retired? 09DEC2018 RESOURCES Will require AUD$1200 to purchase. This will be funded from Soilmagic revenue from clients. This project will not require its own bank account. What planned activities will the project require? Will require regular updates and maintainence. These will be performed weekly by the user as part of Soilmagic's work. What contingent activities will the project require? In the event that the computer's RAM is insufficient for future software requirements, it can be upgraded from 8GB to 16GB for about $50. This would be funded from Soilmagic revenues.
