SITUATION

Proposal Name: Site Office roof

Background: Fat Bandicoot project 0005 relates to the purchase of a shipping container for use as a site office / habitation module for remote sites. The container has been acquired, and can now be upgraded to better serve these purposes. The first task to undertake is providing it with a roof, to collect rainwater and to provide mounts for future solar and wind energy devices.

Summary of proposed changes: Upgrading the container with external frame, roof, guttering and IBC water tank.

How will this proposal advance the objectives of the Association? It will allow the site office to be used in support of Fat Bandicoot work

What direct or indirect conflicts of interest does the initiating member or any other member have in this proposal? Nil

Will or might this proposal lead to the Association trading while insolvent? No, the materials will be purchased only with existing funds

What are the proposal's effects on other legal, reputational or financial risks? none.

RESOURCES

What resources will it require? Money, materials, labour etc.

For each resource,

The following can be purcahsed with internal Soilmagic revenues, estimate $2000.

  • Steel pipe, 35mm diameter (1" NB)
  • Joints with quick-release capability - Interclamp
  • Steel tabs where bolts are required.
  • Bolts as above.
  • Recycled brick and mortar for above-ground weight
  • Guttering, rivets
  • IBC water tank.
  • Polycarbonate panels for south-facing pitch
  • Solar panels or galvinised sheet for north-facing pitch

The following may be donated by members:

  • Access to excavator, jacks and wooden chocks to move container into temporary position.
  • Access to angle grinder, welder, allen keys etc. for cutting and assembly.
  • Labour
